The Ladder Back Chair
The iconic Ladderback chairs, so recognisably Mackintosh, bring a rigorous style to any space they occupy. In the original Willow Tea Rooms Building they harmonise with the black latticework stencilling on the walls, and the negative space formed from their height and rails ensure they are eye-catching yet not intrusive. Each rush insert takes a whole day to complete, adhering to the tradition of weaving by hand. The result is a classic piece of furniture with a timeless appeal that works well in both hallways or dining rooms.
